RSPB Cymru: Lifelong Learning

RSPB Cymru: Lifelong Learning

RSPB Cymru provides educational services and facilities to suit everyone from Foundation Phase and Key Stages 2 and 3, through to GCSE, A Level, Undergraduate, PGCE and INSET.   Learners can explore nature and the environment first-hand.

Experienced RSPB field teachers, plus a team of educational volunteers, provide hands-on activities all year round at various locations such as Newport Wetlands, Bute Park in Cardiff, Conwy nature reserve, Lake Vyrnwy (Welshpool) and Ynys-hir (Machynlleth).

We offer half or full-day visits linked to the National Curriculum in subjects such as science and geography.  We can adapt our programmes to meet specific needs and provide worksheets, advice, pre and post-visit outreach sessions and online information.  Our cross-curricular approach also covers aspects of Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship.

We also provide a variety of fun exploration days and environmental activities, such as pond-dipping and bug safaris, for families, RSPB clubs and local special interest groups in Wales.
